Bringing Pizza Back From the Dead

I know people who love cold pizza, but I'm not one of them and neither is Chris. He used to down as much pizza as he could when it arrived hot so he would never have to experience it cold and, to him, dead. But after I reincarnated cold pizza, even the not so great Hot-N-Ready, and made it better than when it was fresh, he has new rose-colored glasses for leftovers. Thanks to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's Ted Allen all those years ago for this tip. Remember that show?!

Here's some Hot-N-Ready pizza from last night courtesy of Chef Dave. He's not a snob about everything.

Plate it and nuke it in the microwave for a minute. At this point, you can add extra toppings if you'd like. I usually just stick to some red pepper flakes, but I was feeling some tomatoes today. While it's in the microwave, heat up a pan with extra virgin olive oil. Right out of the microwave with cheese melted and rejuvenated, place your slices in the pan and fry the crust until golden brown and crispy.

Re-plate your pizza and pour the remaining olive oil in the pan over your pie. Eat.

Oh, thank you Ted. Thanks a lot.
