We woke up to rain

Just off our bedroom is a covered patio where we can hear the steady "tink, tink" of rain, usually heralding a glorious, lazy day in. But today, I decided why not go get messy?

 

 

 

 We splashed around and Dianna got some great air. Her jumping is getting pretty good. Watching her see and experience the world is always so refreshing.

And did I mention we pulled out the chalk? Definitely try it in the rain. It goes on sidewalks so smoothly in the rain, which is great for little hands. It feels more like coloring with oil pastels. The colors looked more vibrant and, just as all mundane things somehow transform in the rain, more magical.

 

 

How did I get her to come in? Marshmallows in hot chocolate, followed immediately by a nice, warm bath.
