Flourless Chocolate Cake: Make and Take

My contribution to Easter Sunday: chocolate cake. It's flourless, so Sarah can have it as well. I used this recipe. My only change was using all chocolate, rather than adding the 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, which is truer to a cake my brother Dave made for us once and what I tried to recreate. I think this tasted pretty darn close.

Now let me repeat, this tasted close. But man, I'm not going to lie, I had the same troubles that a lot of others who reviewed the recipe had: the cake just stuck. After talking to Dave about all this, we've decided to do a redo of this one day and show you, as well as me, how to make this without having to scrape everything out and shape it into cake form. And yes, that's what I did. No shame in that, right?

I froze the cake and brought it to Bakersfield in a cooler. The night before Easter, I covered it with chocolate ganache and blackberries. Then I served with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and some extra ganache I had laying around. Yum.
